About Department :
The department of Botany started during the year 1984 with the goal to develop meritorious students and to obtain good research scholars from the university through our institution.
Course offered :
BSc Bachelor of Science (Chemistry, Botany, Zoology) is a 3 years
Under graduate course conducted in 6 Semester
The curriculum is followed as per the syllabus of BENGALURU CENTRAL UNIVERSITY.
The core subjects are studied by the students in all the 6 semesters; Languages are studied during the first 4 semesters.
The students are assessed by a project work, seminars apart from the examination conducted by the institution and university.
The department also conducts, tours, trips for plant collection, visiting research station, Bio centers, and national park to enrich the knowledge about the subjects.
The department conducts regular competition like Quiz and Essay writings, project writings etc.
The department organizes the Lectures for the students from the eminent professors.
Students involve in extracurricular activities and participation in certificate courses conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium.
Internal assessment marks are assessed base on the performance of the students in the test, assignments seminars, attendance.

1.B.Sc-Bachalor of Science(EMCs) is a three year under graduate Program
(CBCS syllabus) conducted in six semester. In accordance with the revised syllabus. Laboratories and library do get updated regularly. The core subjects are studied by the students in all the six semesters.
Infrastructure:
2. Specious well ventilated,well equipped Laboratory with 38 systems.
3.Department library is made available with sufficient number of reference books and books written according to Bangalore Central University and Bangalore University both.
4. A computer with internet facility and a Printer is available for staff and students.
5. LCD with Projector is available / used by the students for seminars /Power point Presentations is used by the staff and students.
6. UPS with 3hrs backup with 20 batteries.
